Registrations for Meeting Place 2022 are now open!

Meeting Place will be held in Naarm/Melbourne, during Alter State festival, from 6 to 8 October 2022. The three-day, disability-led forum is designed for arts professionals and emerging artists. It provides a safe, accessible space to connect and discuss important issues in the arts and disability sectors.

This year, the forum will explore the rights of the individual, as a creator, a worker, and as a human. 2022 also marks the tenth anniversary of the inaugural Meeting Place forum, and the 30th anniversary of its host, Arts Access Australia. The program this year will draw upon these milestones to reflect on and celebrate advancements in the arts and disability sector at a state, national and international level.

Meeting Place 2022 will be held as a hybrid event model to increase the event’s accessibility, meaning you will be able to attend online or in person. The in-person events will be held at venues located within the Melbourne Cultural Precinct.

Meeting Place 2022 is presented by Arts Access Australia, in conjunction with Arts Centre Melbourne and Arts Access Victoria.

In the spirit of reconciliation, Arts Access Australia acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of Country throughout Australia and their connections to land, sea and community. We pay our respect to their elders past and present and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples today.
