Dion Beasley is a young Aboriginal man who has always lived in remote communities in Northern Australia. He is well known across the Territory as the artist behind the much-loved T-shirt brand, Cheeky Dogs – his most favoured drawing subjects.

Dion’s formal art career started in 2006 when the first Cheeky Dogs T- shirt line was launched. Since then, his reputation as an accomplished visual artist has grown from strength to strength. Dion has exhibited his drawings in exhibitions in Australia and overseas.

He has published two books in collaboration with Johanna Bell, most recently Go Home, Cheeky Animals (Allen and Unwin), which won the CBCA Early Childhood Book of the Year in 2017. Their third book, an illustrated memoir about Dion’s life, will hit bookstores in 2019.
