Three days of inspiring and thought-provoking experiences.

Over three days in Alice Springs in September, Meeting Place 2018 will showcase Northern Territory artists, First Nations artists, learning disabled artists and more in a dynamic fusion of national and international speakers, exhibitions and performances, artists-in-residence and practical workshops.

Monday 24 September

Morning

  • 9.00am: Doors/registrations open
  • 9.15am: Foyer – musical performance by Eliza Hull
  • 9.45am: Theatre – films and music by Incite Arts
  • 10.00am: Day 1 starts (with MC Mary Jane Warfield). Welcome to Country with Sabella Turner. Meeting Place launch. Cornelia Tipuamantumirri banners.
  • 10:30am: Together we belong – keynote presentation by Julia Hales
  • 11:30am: Spotlight (watch this space)

Lunch break

  • 12.00pm: Lunch break. Check out the info stands in the foyer from our Meeting Place partners and artists-in-residence The Free Space Studio.
  • 12:15pm to 12:45pm: Disability-only discussion: what do we need as practitioners? (Witchetty’s)
