Jenine Mackay (Alice Springs, NT)

Jenine Mackay is a VCA, Drama School Graduate and has extensive skills and experience in the performing arts and Community Arts and Cultural Development (CACD) practice. Her background in the performing arts includes as a performer, artistic director and performance skills mentor. Since 1991 Jenine has been managing and delivering multi-arts programs and developed distinctive CACD works of quality, innovation and collaboration with, by and for diverse communities in WA and the NT.

Jenine is CEO of Incite Arts an has worked with colluege Virginia Heydon to provide creative arts opportunities for people with disability living in Alice Springs since 2004 with the beginning of Arts Access Central Australia (AACA), under the guidance and leadership of Michele Castagna. AACA amalgamated with Incite Youth Arts to become Incite Arts in 2013.

Jenine Mackay served on the AAA Board from 2008 to 2016, including served as Chairperson 2013-15 and in 2016 as Immediate Past Chairperson. Over this period Jenine made significant contribution to AAA, demonstrating strong governance leadership, succession planning and implementation across the appointment of three CEO’s and three Chairpersons.

Jenine remains committed to AAA and is honoured to be working in partnership with AAA to host Meeting Place 2018 in Alice Springs.
