Mel Lineham

Mel enjoys creating something entirely new from old stories, bringing them back to life. This allows her a sense of connectedness, satisfying her need to be part of a collective consciousness. Her favourite materials are sourced from vintage books that provide unique tones and colours reflective of past aesthetics. Removed street posters that satisfy a love for text and graphic design have also started to feature heavily in her work. She sees the beauty in every day objects and is compelled to make them part of her personal process, striving for simplicity and restraint.

Mel lives and works in Melbourne and is obsessed with dogs and 80’s music.
