Annette Twyman has lived experience of invisible disability. She is an art historian who moved over into public programs thirty odd years ago and has worked in the access arts sector for as many years.

A social justice perspective has informed Annette’s research into arts and disability in Australia, UK, Northern Ireland and the USA.

Annette is very proud of the work the National Portrait Gallery is doing to be an open, inclusive and accessible public cultural institution.
